Organizational Overview
Raise Again Hope Again (RAHA) is a youth-led community-based organization working in Kakuma Refugee Camp and surrounding host communities. The organization was formed by young refugees who saw many people, especially youth, struggling with trauma, stress, loss of culture, unemployment, and lack of guidance.
RAHA exists to respond to these challenges in a simple and practical way. We believe that when people are supported emotionally, connected to their culture, and given space to grow their talents, they can heal and build better lives.
The Community Need
People living in Kakuma Refugee Camp face many difficulties every day. RAHA was created to address these problems in a human and respectful way.
Trauma & Stress
Many youth have experienced conflict, violence, displacement, and separation from family members.
Loss of Culture
Many young people are losing their native languages and cultural identity during displacement.
Lack of Safe Spaces
There are limited safe spaces for counselling, emotional support, and positive skill development.
Social Tension
Social tension exists between different communities, requiring intentional peace-building efforts.
Our Vision
RAHA envisions a peaceful and hopeful community where young people are emotionally strong, proud of their identity, and able to create positive futures for themselves and others.
